Hope you all had a good weekend… did you get out ?
I managed to get a few windy waves in Cornwall at Trebarwith strand which is not a particularly SUP friendly wave but fun all the same !
Strong south east winds blew cold winds offshore all weekend in North cornwall making it hard to find anywhere other than the most protected cliff beaches suitable for stand up paddling.

Trebarwith is a beach break with a deep trench just offshore making the waves plunge and barrel when they reach the shore which albeit fun for the intermediate/ advanced paddle board surfer, are not suitable for beginner paddle surfers at all, who should choose beaches with spilling and crumbling waves.
I chose to ride the Coreban 9ft fusion – core model which is slightly heavier than the ‘Pure construction’ model and therefore was great at paddling into the strong off shores.- we have DISCOUNT offers on this board see here
Check this picture I snapped of the tubing waves !

As a beginner SUP paddle surfer you should always remain aware of the conditions, plunging waves and offshore windy conditions can be dangerous as the waves and wind can easily cause your board to hit you if you’re not in control or blow you out to sea.
SUP safe !
